Surgeon took flesh home to train dogs

A Dutch surgeon has been disciplined for taking human tissue home to train rescue dogs.

The surgeon took home small samples from three patients he operated on at the Meander Medical Centre in Amersfoort.

A spokesman for the medical centre said the surgeon, who has not been named, had been given an official warning.

"It was very unprofessional, unacceptable and against all ethical codes," said the spokesman.
