Smelly juror halts trial

A judge was forced to abandon a blackmail trial - because of a smelly juror.

Two jurors complained about the smell during an adjournment in the trial at Gloucester Crown Court.

Judge Carole Hagen told barristers - in the absence of the jury - that a B.O. problem had arisen.

According to The Sun she said: "Two jurors have complained about the personal hygiene of one sitting next to them. It seems entirely unreasonable to expect any citizen to have to contend with that for two to three days."

The jury was discharged.
